Carly Crews, RN, BSN, MICN, is currently the EMS Nurse Educator with the San Bernardino County Fire District. She was serving as the EMS Coordinator at the San Bernardino City Fire Dept. on the day of the terrorist attack in San Bernardino on Dec. 2, 2015. She was second on scene alongside a medic engine and worked the treatment and transport areas during patient assessment. She has worked as an emergency nurse and Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) prior to her position with the fire department, as well as instructed the clinical portion of her local community colleges paramedic program and the MICN program.
This special EMS Today panel discussion and webcast will involve key responders from Orlando, San Bernardino and Dallas. The panel will discuss lessons learned from the active shooter incidents that took place in their response areas. The panel will also discuss response and operational protocols and procedure implemented at the incidents, revisions made since the incident and changes or additions made to medical/trauma/protective equipment deployment.
