RICHARD MARINUCCI was a chief of department for more than 30 years. He speaks at FDIC International, is a columnist for Fire Engineering and Fire Apparatus & Emergency Equipment, and was the editor of the 7th edition of the Fire Chief's Handbook. He is a past president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and a former chief operating officer of the U.S. Fire Administration. He is a faculty member at Eastern Michigan University. He has a master's and three B.S. degrees. He is the education director of the Fire Department Safety Officers Association.
