RICHARD RILEY is a firefighter, a former chief, and a member of the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department in Prince George's County, Maryland, and the fire apparatus manager and assistant chief of a large combination department outside of Washington, DC. Previously, he was the operations chief with the Clearwater (FL) Fire Department and a firefighter with Fairfax County (VA) Fire & Rescue. He has lectured across the country on combat ready, incident command, and other fire service topics.
This hour-long presentation will cover the meaning of command and control on today’s firegrounds. The session will provide you tools, tips, and processes that will allow the incident commander and the company officer to better interact with each other to ensure tasks have been completed and information is shared on the fireground.
