What do you do for the Fire Academy?
I am a Sales Account Executive for The Fire Academy and JEMS Academy.
What are you looking forward to most in the year ahead?
It has been a pleasure to watch The Fire Academy grow and develop. We have a very close relationship with all our agencies and listen to what their needs are. Because of this, our platform continues to evolve into an extremely user friendly platform that excels at scheduling out, delivering, and tracking training. In terms of the year ahead, it’s always exciting to see the new FDIC content that is put on the platform.
What do you enjoy doing in your personal time?
All my personal time is spent with my family. I have an amazing wife and 4 incredible children all under the age of 11. All 4 kids are very active with sports which keeps us busy, but I wouldn’t change it for the world! When we do have down time, we love to explore all things outdoor (boating, hiking, etc).
Tell us in a few sentences what your experience is in the Fire Service or LMS industry?
I was a full-time firefighter/paramedic for 17 years. I spent the majority of my career on an engine with the last couple years as a Lieutenant on an engine in the Chicagoland area. I have always been passionate about training and team building. I think Henry Ford said it best, “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.”
What is one thing you wish everyone knew about the Fire Academy?
The Fire Academy is a fantastic platform. The modern technology used is second to none. There are many great features, but one of my favorites is the ease in which to log and track training in “external training”. It is a true time saver that gives back hours out of the day to our first responders. I also really enjoy the convenience of The Fire Academy app that is dedicated solely to the training platform.
