After onboarding your department with The Fire Academy’s Onboarding Specialist Cynthia Meinke, you will transition over to our Customer Success Manager Michelle Ward.
Michelle will be your main point of contact for any thing you need during your department’s contract with The Fire Academy. She regularly checks in on departments to make sure they are utilizing The Fire Academy in the most effective way for their department. Learn more about Michelle below!

Where do you live?
I live in a somewhat artsy river town in Pennsylvania. This was always my happy place and I would drive here to spend the day when the weather was nice and then, one day, I moved here.
What do you do for the Fire Academy?
I am the Customer Success Manager for The Fire Academy. My job is to help and support our departments with their daily use of the platform and help them with any questions that they may have. Also, I am responsible for driving usage and building value.
What are you looking forward to most in the year ahead?
As we bring on more departments, I feel like our sense of community within The Fire Academy (and The JEMS Academy) will grow for our users. I am excited for our webinars where we share insights into uses of the platform, training tracking tips for departments, and even share current clients’ stories and uses of the platform.
What do you enjoy doing in your personal time?
I love to spend time with my family and just hang out with them. Also, I love to read and work out which helps me feel balanced in my life.
What your experience is in the Fire Service or LMS industry? Why are you passionate about it?
My mother was a Fire Rescue dispatcher from the time I was in middle school and I grew up in the fire community. What she did was important, and I was always very proud of her. This is my chance to be a part of that community and help with the safety of our users and the safety of the communities they serve.
What is one thing you wish everyone knew about the Fire Academy?
I wish everyone knew that we are a team of capable and qualified professionals who are here solely because we care about what we do.
